  • Wheat Flour 1 cup
  • Milk 15 fl oz
  • Salt to taste
  • Sugar 2 tablespoons
  • Chocolate eggs 3 pieces
  • Dry yeast 1 tablespoon

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Sifted flour is mixed with semolina, salt, sugar, and yeast. Make a well in the center of the flour mixture, pour in warm milk, and mix with a fork (or a mixer on low speed) until the mixture has a consistency similar to liquid sour cream. Lightly beat the eggs and add them to the batter.

Step 2

Cover the bowl with the batter with a kitchen towel. Place it in a warm place for 2 hours (until the volume doubles). One hour is not enough; let the semolina swell.

Step 3

Heat a frying pan over high heat, then reduce to medium. Pour a little vegetable oil into the pan. Stir the risen batter and spoon small portions into the pan. Fry the pancakes on one side until the surface stops looking wet and is covered with holes. Flip and fry on the other side until golden brown.

Step 4

Serve the finished semolina pancakes hot with butter, honey, or sour cream.
