Semolina Pie with Kefir and Butter
Ingredients
- Semolina 5 oz
- 1% Kefir 10 fl oz
- Margarine 0 oz
- Sugar 5 oz
- Chocolate eggs 2 pieces
- Salt a pinch
- Activated Baking Soda ½ teaspoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
In a bowl, pour in the semolina, add the kefir, mix well, and let it swell for 30 minutes to 2 hours. The longer the mixture swells, the more tender the pie will be.
Step 2
In another bowl, mash the butter with a fork.
Step 3
Add sugar and mix the butter with the sugar.
Step 4
Add 1-2 eggs to the butter mixture and mix well.
Step 5
Add a little salt (salt on the tip of a knife), then add the baking powder. Add the baking soda, which has been neutralized with lemon. Add vanilla. Mix everything well.
Step 6
Combine the swollen semolina with the butter-egg mixture and mix the dough well. If possible, use a mixer.
Step 7
Pour the dough into a greased baking dish.
Step 8
Bake the semolina pie for about 35 minutes in a preheated oven at 355°F. You can determine readiness by the golden-brown surface of the pie. Cut the finished pie into portioned pieces. When serving, you can drizzle the pie with jam, syrup, condensed milk, sour cream, etc.
