Semolina Cookies
Baking and Desserts • Author's
Description
One night, I had a terrible craving for something sweet, but going to the store at that time felt very scary and lazy. So, I went to the kitchen and decided to bake something, but as it turned out, I had neither eggs, nor flour, nor any other ingredients I was used to making treats with. Since I wouldn't be able to fall asleep, I tried to make cookies from what I had in the fridge.
Ingredients
- Water 1 cup
- Dry yeast 0 oz
- Sugar to taste
- Butter 5 oz
- Semolina 4 cups
- 20% Sour Cream 5 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
In a large bowl, dissolve the yeast, sugar, and warm water.
Step 2
Add the melted butter and sour cream.
Step 3
Add the semolina and stir until the dough becomes elastic and does not stick to your hands (if it doesn't, add more water or more semolina).
Step 4
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and, after the dough rises, place it on a greased baking sheet.
Step 5
Bake at 355°F, then cut into pieces.
