Semolina Cake with Sour Cream
Ingredients
- Semolina 1 cup
- 20% Sour Cream 1 cup
- Sugar 5 oz
- Salt to taste
- Baking Soda (slaked) ½ teaspoon
- Chocolate eggs 3 pieces
- Wheat Flour 1 cup
- Vanilla salt to taste
- Margarine 5 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Mix the semolina with sour cream and let it swell for 1.5 to 2 hours.
Step 2
Beat the eggs with sugar and add to the semolina.
Step 3
Add melted margarine (cooled), salt, slaked baking soda, and flour. The batter should be liquid.
Step 4
Pour the batter into a greased baking pan.
Step 5
Bake for 40 minutes at 355°F until golden brown. Check the readiness of the cake with a toothpick — if the toothpick comes out dry after piercing the cake, it means the cake is ready.
