Ingredients

  • Semolina 5 oz
  • Kefir 5 fl oz
  • Sugar 5 oz
  • Chicken Egg 1 piece
  • Baking Powder 1½ teaspoons
  • Salt 0 oz
  • Butter 5 oz

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

In a bowl, pour in the semolina, add the kefir, mix well, and let it swell for 30 minutes to 2 hours.

Step 2

In another bowl, mash the butter with a fork. Add the sugar and mix the butter with the sugar. Add 1–2 eggs to the butter mixture and mix well. Add a pinch of salt, then add the baking powder. Mix everything well.

Step 3

Combine the swollen semolina with the butter and egg mixture and mix the batter well.

Step 4

Pour the batter into a greased baking dish.

Step 5

Bake the semolina cake for about 35 minutes in a preheated oven at 355°F. Cut the finished cake into portioned pieces. When serving, the cake can be drizzled with jam, syrup, condensed milk, sour cream, etc.
