Semolina Cake with Jam
Ingredients
- Semolina 1 glass
- Wheat Flour 1 glass
- Sugar 1 glass
- Milk 1 glass
- Chicken Egg 1 piece
- Vegetable Oil ½ glasses
- Jam 2 spoons
- Activated Baking Soda ½ spoons
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Mix one cup of semolina, flour, and sugar (you can use slightly less than one cup of sugar).
Step 2
Add the egg and a cup of milk, and mix well.
Step 3
Add baking soda and incorporate vegetable oil into the batter.
Step 4
Add any jam and mix well.
Step 5
Pour into a greased mold (diameter of the mold 24-26 cm).
Step 6
Bake in the oven at 355°F for about 40 minutes. It can be done for a shorter time; just check for doneness with a toothpick. However, if you leave it in a little longer, the inside will have a rich color like melted milk and a very crumbly texture.
