Description

When preparing sea buckthorn, sterilization is not used. To preserve valuable nutrients and vitamins, the pasteurization method is employed. During this process, the temperature does not exceed 85-90 degrees Celsius.

Ingredients

  • Sea Buckthorn 0 lbs
  • Sugar 0 lbs

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Rinse the berries in three waters (submerge them in cold water three times so that leaves and stems float to the surface).

Step 2

Spread the sea buckthorn berries on paper towels to let them dry a bit.

Step 3

Using a blender, puree the sea buckthorn and sugar until smooth.

Step 4

Heat the puree to 175°F, then immediately distribute it into pre-warmed sterilized 1-liter jars. Process by pasteurizing for 30 minutes.

Step 5

Seal with lids. Store the jars in a cool, dark place.
