- Sugar 0 oz
- Butter 5 oz
- Milk 10 fl oz
- Salt to taste
- Cream to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Sift the flour and baking powder. Add the sugar and mix well.
Step 2
Mix the dry ingredients with the butter until crumbly. Gently toss the crumbs to incorporate air into the dough.
Step 3
Make a well in the center of the crumbs and pour the milk into it. First, mix with a spatula, then transfer the dough to a floured surface and gently knead.
Step 4
Roll the dough into a disc about 3-4 cm thick. Use a pastry cutter to cut out scones, dipping the cutter in flour each time.

Step 6
Transfer the finished scones to a wire rack covered with a towel and place another towel on top. Allow them to cool. Serve with butter and jam.
