Ingredients
- Sorrel 3 bunches
- Wheat Flour 3 cups
- Butter 4 tablespoons
- Chicken Egg 1 piece
- Milk 1 cup
- Sugar 1 cup
- Dry yeast 0 oz
- Salt ¼ teaspoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Knead the risen dough slightly and divide it into 15 parts. From each piece, carefully shape a patty, place as much filling as possible in the center, and wrap it. Arrange the pastries on a baking sheet and brush with beaten egg yolk.
Step 2
Preheat the oven to 355°F. Bake the pastries for 30 minutes.
Step 3
Wash the sorrel and chop it finely. Mix the chopped sorrel with half a cup of sugar.
Step 4
Prepare the yeast dough: dissolve the yeast in warm milk; sift the flour; beat the egg, add salt, the remaining sugar, and milk; pour the mixture into the flour; knead the dough; at the end, add melted butter and continue kneading. Place the kneaded dough in a deep bowl, cover it, and put it in a warm place. After an hour, knead the dough again and leave it in a warm place for another 30 minutes.
