Sausages with Mozzarella in Yeast Dough
Ingredients
- Sausages 10 pieces
- Melted Cheese 5 oz
- Milk 10 fl oz
- Wheat Flour 20 oz
- Butter 0 oz
- Sugar 1 tablespoon
- Salt a pinch
- Whole egg 1 piece
- Dry yeast 0 oz
- Toasted Sesame 0 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Add dry yeast and half a tablespoon of sugar to warm milk.
Step 2
Stir and let sit for 10 minutes until a small foam forms.
Step 3
Add the remaining half of the sugar and butter. Mix well.
Step 4
Combine flour with salt and pour the liquid ingredients into the dry ingredients. Gently mix. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and continue kneading. Once you have a firm ball, divide it into 10 equal parts.
Step 5
Next, roll each part into a rope with your hands and then use a rolling pin to flatten each rope into a disc. Place a sausage at the edge, make a small cut in it, fill it with cheese, and wrap it in the dough, carefully holding the cut of the sausage to prevent the cheese from spilling out.
Step 6
Place the sausages on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush each sausage with egg yolk and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake in a preheated oven at 355°F for 25-30 minutes.
