Soften the butter beforehand. Beat it with powdered sugar. As a result of beating, the butter will lighten slightly and resemble cream.

Add the yolks and beat until the powdered sugar dissolves and a fluffy mass forms.

Sift the flour with baking powder on top, and quickly mix a light dough with a spoon or spatula. This dough should not be kneaded for long — it will become tough.

You will get a slightly sticky, soft dough that needs to be chilled. Place it on plastic wrap and form a log with a diameter of 5–6 centimeters.

Wrap the dough in the plastic wrap and leave it in the refrigerator for 1 hour.

After chilling, the dough should become firm. Cut the dough into slices-circles with a sharp knife and place them on a baking sheet.

Step 7

Next, let your imagination run wild and decorate the cookies to your liking. This can be almonds, candied fruits, or various confectionery decorations.

Place in a preheated oven at 390°F. Bake for 20 minutes.
