Samosa with Lamb and Cumin
Ingredients
- Puff Pastry 1 piece
- Onion 2 heads
- Lamb 25 oz
- Salt 2 teaspoons
- Black Cumin (Cumin) 1½ teaspoons
- Ground Black Pepper 1 teaspoon
- Butter 5 oz
- Chicken Egg 1 piece
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Using a sharp knife, chop the lamb as finely as possible.
Step 2
Finely chop the onion and add it to the meat. Add salt and black pepper.
Step 3
Mix well by hand. Place the filling in the refrigerator.
Step 4
Cut the sheets of puff pastry into small pieces.
Step 5
Roll out all the pieces of dough into flat circles.
Step 6
Fill them with the meat filling. Preheat the oven to 430°F.
Step 7
Fold into triangles.
Step 8
Mix 1 egg with 2 tablespoons of water. Brush the samosas with the egg mixture and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Grease the baking sheet with butter and place the pastries on it.
Step 9
Bake until golden brown: 20 minutes at 420°F, then reduce to 345°F and bake for another 15–20 minutes.
