
Royal Sesame Cookies

Ingredients
- Milk 5 fl oz
- Toasted Sesame 10 oz
- Wheat Flour 15 oz
- Sugar 5 oz
- Baking Powder 3½ teaspoons
- Salt ½ teaspoon
- Butter 10 oz
- Farm fresh eggs 2 pieces
- Vanilla extract 1 teaspoon
- Orange zest 1 teaspoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 345°F. Grease and flour 2 large baking sheets.
Step 2
Pour the milk into a shallow bowl. Sprinkle the sesame seeds onto a sheet of parchment paper.
Step 3
In a large bowl of a stand mixer with a paddle attachment, mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the butter to the mixture at low speed, adding a little at a time.
Step 4
In a medium bowl, mix the eggs, vanilla, and orange zest. Pour into the mixer bowl and mix until smooth.
Step 5
Pinch off a piece of dough the size of a golf ball (about 4 cm) and shape it into a log about 6 cm long and 2 cm wide.
Step 6
Dip the log in the milk, then roll it in the sesame seeds. Place on the baking sheet and gently press down with your palm.
Step 7
Shape the remaining dough in the same way, spacing the pieces 2.5 cm apart on the baking sheet.
Step 8
Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden brown. Cool on the baking sheets for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Store in an airtight container.
