Royal Cottage Cheese Pie
Ingredients
- Cottage cheese 15 oz
- Sugar 1½ glasses
- Butter 5 oz
- Chicken Egg 5 pieces
- Wheat Flour 15 oz
- Baking Powder 1 tablespoon
- Vegetable Oil 1 tablespoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Take two large bowls.
Step 2
First, combine the eggs, 0.5 cup of sugar, and cottage cheese (I usually use a slightly grainy cottage cheese spread, sold in 200-gram packages) and mix everything together with a mixer until you achieve a liquid consistency.
Step 3
In a second bowl, combine 1 packet of baking powder, softened butter (at room temperature), and 1 cup of sugar. Gradually add the flour, mixing everything together with your hands until you achieve a sandy, crumbly dough. The key is to ensure it is light and does not stick to your hands.
Step 4
Next, take a pie baking dish, grease it with vegetable oil, and press part of our 'mini' dough into the bottom. Use your fingers to gently shape the edges along the sides.
Step 5
Gently and slowly pour the whipped mixture of cottage cheese, eggs, and sugar into the baking dish, and sprinkle the remaining part of the batter on top.
Step 6
Bake in the oven for 40–50 minutes at 355°F and enjoy the result! :)
