Ingredients
- Dried ground orange peel 5 oz
- Ground dried cherries 0 oz
- Raisins 5 oz
- Rum 6 tablespoons
- Butter 10 oz
- Sugar 10 oz
- Salt a pinch
- Lemon ½ piece
- Chocolate eggs 6 pieces
- Wheat Flour 10 oz
- Starch film 5 oz
- Baking Powder 2 teaspoons
- Powdered Sugar 0 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Finely chop the candied peel and cherries, mix with the raisins, pour in the rum, cover, and let it steep.
Step 2
Grease the baking pan with butter and dust with flour.
Step 3
Beat the butter with a mixer until fluffy. Add sugar, salt, lemon zest, and eggs to the whipped mixture and beat until the sugar is completely dissolved.
Step 4
Mix the flour with starch and baking powder, and gently fold into the mixture with a spatula. Finally, fold in the softened fruits.
Step 5
Fill the prepared pan with the batter and smooth the surface.
Step 6
Bake in a preheated oven at 345°F on the lower rack for 1 hour until golden brown.
Step 7
Cool and dust with a thick layer of powdered sugar.
