Roasted Chestnuts
Ingredients
- Peeled chestnuts 25 oz
- Salt to taste
- Spices to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 430°F.
Step 2
Using a sharp knife, make crosswise cuts on the rounded side of the chestnuts and place them on a baking sheet, cut side up. Bake in the oven for 20-30 minutes, until the skin peels back from the flesh.
Step 3
Wrap the hot chestnuts in a kitchen towel and gently press to loosen the skin. Leave wrapped for 5 minutes and serve immediately.
Step 4
You can also add salt or your favorite spices before serving.
