Rich Raisin Snails
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 10 oz
- Milk 5 fl oz
- Sugar 0 oz
- Dry yeast 0 oz
- Butter 5 oz
- Egg white 1 piece
- Vanilla salt 0 oz
- Cinnamon 1 teaspoon
- Raisins 0 oz
- Meyer Lemon Juice 2 tablespoons
- Powdered Sugar 5 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Dissolve the yeast and 1 teaspoon of sugar in the milk. Add the flour, regular and vanilla sugar, egg, and 50 grams of softened butter. Place the dough in a warm place for 45 minutes.
Step 2
Roll the dough into a rectangle about ½ cm thick and brush it with melted butter. Sprinkle with raisins and cinnamon. Roll into a log and cut into slices 2 cm thick.
Step 3
Place the slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and let rise for 10 minutes. Bake for 20 minutes at 355°F.
Step 4
Cool and glaze with a mixture of lemon juice and powdered sugar.
