Rich Raisin and Chocolate Buns
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 30 oz
- Sugar 5 tablespoons
- Dry yeast 2 teaspoons
- Corn Starch 2 tablespoons
- Butter 5 oz
- Raisins 5 oz
- Salt a pinch
- Chocolate 5 oz
- Milk 1½ cups
- Liqueur 3 tablespoons
- Egg white 1 piece
- Powdered Sugar 5 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Soak the raisins in liqueur and let sit for 2 hours.
Step 2
Mix the flour, salt, cornstarch, and yeast.
Step 3
Add warm milk, 0.5 cups of water, and chopped butter.
Step 4
Knead and transfer to a bowl, let rise for 1 hour.
Step 5
Punch down and knead again.
Step 6
Add chopped chocolate and raisins.
Step 7
Shape into round buns, placing them 2 cm apart on a baking sheet.
Step 8
Let sit for about 1 hour and brush the tops with milk.
Step 9
Bake for 20–25 minutes at 355°F.
Step 10
Mix powdered sugar and egg white. Glaze the cooled buns.
