Rich pudding with candied fruits
Ingredients
- Bun 20 oz
- Butter 7 tablespoons
- Milk 25 fl oz
- Egg white 4 pieces
- Salt a pinch
- Candied fruits 5 oz
- Pears 3 pieces
- Chopped almonds 5 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Cut the stale bun into slices and toast in a preheated oven at 200 °C (392 °F) for 5 minutes. Then, spread butter on each piece.
Step 2
Mix the milk with the eggs, sugar, vanilla sugar, and salt. In a heatproof dish, layer the bun pieces at a 45-degree angle. Sprinkle with half of the candied fruits.
Step 3
On top of the candied fruits, layer half of the peeled and sliced pears. Pour half of the egg-milk mixture over it. Then, add a second layer of bun, sprinkle with the remaining candied fruits, and top with the pears. Pour the remaining egg-milk mixture over it.
Step 4
Sprinkle with almond flakes. Bake in a preheated oven at 190 °C (374 °F) for 50 minutes.
