Description

Use Jasmine rice or choose rice that has a cooking time of 12 minutes.

Ingredients

  • Rice 1 cup
  • Carrot 1 piece
  • Onion 1 piece
  • Garlic 1 clove
  • Vegetable Oil to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Dice a small onion, pour vegetable oil into a pot, and add the onion. Sauté over medium heat until lightly golden.

Step 2

Grate the carrot on a coarse grater, add it to the onion, and sauté for about 5 minutes.

Step 3

Remove from heat and add 1 cup of rice and 1.5 cups of water, finely chopped garlic, salt to taste, and mix.

Step 4

Place on high heat, do not cover with a lid.

Step 5

Once the water boils, reduce to the lowest heat and cover completely with a lid.

Step 6

Cook for exactly 12 minutes without opening the pot lid.
