Rhubarb Pie with Walnuts and Cinnamon
Ingredients
- Margarine 5 oz
- Brown Sugar 2 cups
- Chicken Egg 1 piece
- Wheat Flour 2 cups
- Salt ½ teaspoon
- Sour Cream 1 jar
- Activated Baking Soda 1 teaspoon
- Rhubarb 2 pieces
- Chopped almonds 5 oz
- Butter 1 tablespoon
- Ground Cinnamon 1 teaspoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
In a bowl, beat the margarine and 1.5 cups of brown sugar. Then add the egg.
Step 2
In another bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, and salt. Combine both mixtures and add the sour cream. Then fold in the finely chopped rhubarb.
Step 3
Transfer the dough into one large or 2 small (20 cm) square baking pans.
Step 4
In a small bowl, mix 0.5 cup of sugar, walnuts, softened butter, and cinnamon until crumbly. Sprinkle on top of the dough.
Step 5
Bake in a preheated oven at 355°F for about 40–45 minutes until done. Cool and serve.
