Rhubarb and Strawberry Pie
Ingredients
- Water 0 fl oz
- Corn Starch ½ spoons
- Sugar 10 oz
- Rhubarb 20 oz
- Strawberry 5 oz
- Wheat Flour 5 oz
- Milk 5 fl oz
- Chicken Egg 1 piece
- Butter 5 oz
- Vanilla extract 1 tablespoon
- Salt ½ spoons
- Activated Baking Soda 2 spoons
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 390°F. Grease a glass or ceramic baking dish with butter.
Step 2
Combine water, cornstarch, and 50 g of sugar in a small saucepan, then add the peeled and finely chopped rhubarb. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly, then simmer on low heat, stirring, for three minutes. Remove from heat and add the finely chopped strawberries.
Step 3
In a bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, salt, and the remaining sugar.
Step 4
In another large bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, oil, and vanilla extract, then add the mixture from the first bowl and stir until smooth.
Step 5
Set aside 100 g of the fruit mixture, then spread the remaining mixture on a baking tray and evenly pour the whipped batter on top.
Step 6
Spread the remaining 100 g of fruit mixture on top. Bake for 30 minutes.
Step 7
Serve slightly chilled. It can be accompanied by vanilla ice cream.
