Raw Chocolate Cake
Ingredients
- Nuts 2 cups
- Cocoa Powder 1½ cups
- Coconut flakes 2 cups
- Coconut Milk 0.6 cups
- Flaxseeds 2 tablespoons
- Pitted olives 2 cups
- Mint 1 bunch
- Grapefruits 15 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Soak the dates in warm water for 15 minutes.
Step 2
Meanwhile, mix any nuts of your choice, 1 cup of cocoa, liquid coconut (or other plant-based) oil, 1.5 cups of coconut flakes, flax seeds (or sesame, but can be omitted) in a food processor until a homogeneous mixture is formed.
Step 3
Add the dates and blend again until a thick homogeneous mass is achieved. Form a ball from the resulting dough.
Step 4
Sprinkle a large flat plate with the remaining coconut flakes, place the formed ball in the center of the plate, flatten it, and gradually shape it with your palms into a round cake 2 cm high.
Step 5
Sprinkle it with the remaining cocoa, decorate with fruits and berries (the larger and denser, the better), and mint.
Step 6
Place the cake in the refrigerator for a couple of hours.
