Raspberry Granita
Ingredients
- Water 1 cup
- Sugar 1 cup
- Raspberry leaves 15 oz
- Meyer Lemon Juice 1 tablespoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
In a small saucepan, combine water and sugar. Place over medium heat and stir until the sugar dissolves. Bring to a boil and remove from heat. Cool the syrup.
Step 2
Meanwhile, mash the raspberries in a small bowl. Add the lemon juice and then incorporate the cooled syrup.
Step 3
Pour the mixture through a sieve and press out as much liquid as possible. Transfer to a mold and place in the freezer for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
Step 4
Freeze the granita completely by placing it in the freezer for 3 hours or overnight.
Step 5
Fluff the frozen granita with a fork and transfer to glasses. Garnish with fresh raspberries and serve immediately.
