Step 1
Peel the quince, cut it in half, remove the core, slice it into pieces or wedges, place them in a pot, cover with cold water just enough to submerge the quince, and cook until soft.
Step 2
After that, remove the quince with a slotted spoon, and strain the broth.
Step 3
In a pot for making jam, add sugar, pour in 1.5 cups of the broth obtained from cooking the quince, and prepare the syrup.
Step 4
Add the prepared quince to the boiling syrup, allow the syrup to boil a couple of times, and continue cooking on low heat until the quince becomes transparent.
Step 5
The jam will be more delicious and aromatic if you first cook the peeled and washed quince skin, and then use the resulting broth to cook the quince itself, sliced into pieces or wedges.
