Quick Red Currant Jelly
Ingredients
- Red Currant to taste
- Sugar 35 oz
- Water 5 fl oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Place the washed currants in a pot, add a little (100 ml) of water, and bring to a boil (the berries should release quite a bit of juice).
Step 2
Strain the resulting broth through a fine sieve or cheesecloth.
Step 3
Check how much juice you have. For every 1 liter of juice, you need 1 kg of sugar.
Step 4
Add the sugar and bring back to a boil.
Step 5
Pour into jars, cool, and seal with a lid.
