Description
Butter can be replaced with baking margarine, just remember to melt it.
Ingredients
- Sugar 1 glass
- Chicken Egg 1 piece
- Kefir 1 glass
- Butter 3 spoons
- Salt ¼ spoons
- Wheat Flour 1½ glasses
- English Dry Mustard 1 tablespoon
- Activated Baking Soda 1 tablespoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Beat the egg with a cup of sugar, then add a cup of kefir and three tablespoons of melted butter or margarine.
Step 2
Add a quarter teaspoon of salt and one and a half cups of flour to the mixture. Knead the dough until it reaches a thick sour cream consistency.
Step 3
In a separate bowl, mix one teaspoon of baking soda and one teaspoon of dry mustard. Dissolve in three teaspoons of water. Add to the dough and mix well.
Step 4
Pour the batter into a greased baking pan, place it in a preheated oven, and bake at a moderate temperature for about thirty minutes.
