Description

Butter can be replaced with margarine, but I do not recommend it. The higher the quality of the butter, the more tender the dough will be.

Ingredients

  • Wheat Flour 1½ cups
  • Butter 5 oz
  • Farm fresh eggs 2 pieces
  • Sugar 5 tablespoons
  • Citric Acid ⅓ g
  • Activated Baking Soda ⅓ teaspoon
  • Black Currant Jam 1 cup

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Melt the butter and mix it with the sugar.

Step 2

Add the baking soda with citric acid.

Step 3

Add the eggs and flour (gradually), you can also add baking powder, but it is not necessary.

Step 4

Knead the dough. The longer you knead, the better it will be.

Step 5

Divide the dough into two parts (in a 2:3 ratio). Roll out the larger part and line the bottom of the baking dish (don’t forget the edges, they need to be made so that the jam doesn’t leak during baking).

Step 6

Spread the jam on the dough and cover it with the remaining part, as desired.
