  • Pumpkin 20 oz
  • Onion 2 heads
  • Vegetable Oil 0 fl oz
  • Wheat Flour 20 oz
  • Salt 1 teaspoon
  • Dry yeast 0 oz
  • Milk 1 cup
  • Sugar 3 tablespoons
  • Chicken Egg 1 piece
  • Butter 5 oz

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

For the dough, sift the flour well to aerate it. Dissolve the yeast in warm milk to help the dough rise faster. Add salt, sugar, butter, and milk to the flour. Finally, add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil. The better you knead the dough, the tastier it will be.

Step 2

While the dough is rising, you can prepare the filling. Wash the pumpkin, peel it, and cut it into cubes as you like (the main thing is not too large). In a pan, sauté the onion in vegetable oil until caramelized, then add it hot to the chopped pumpkin. Also, add salt and black pepper to taste.

Step 3

When the dough has risen, divide it into small balls from which to roll out flatbreads. Determine the size yourself, depending on whether you prefer larger or smaller pies.

Step 4

Place the filling in the center of each flatbread and pinch the edges.

Step 5

Place the pies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush with beaten egg yolk or milk.

Step 6

Wait about 15 minutes for the pies to rise, and only then place them in the oven for about 20 minutes at 355°F.
