Pumpkin pancakes with powdered sugar
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 2 cups
- Brown Sugar 2 tablespoons
- Baking Powder 1 tablespoon
- Ground Cinnamon ½ teaspoon
- Grated Ginger Root ¼ teaspoon
- Nutmeg ¼ teaspoon
- Salt 1 teaspoon
- Ground clove a pinch
- Milk 2 cups
- Chestnut puree 15 oz
- Egg white 1 piece
- Vegetable Oil 2 tablespoons
- Powdered Sugar 0 oz
- Maple syrup to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
For the sauce, mix maple syrup, one and a half cups of pumpkin puree, cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg. Heat the mixture in a small saucepan over low heat, without bringing it to a boil. Remove the sauce from heat and keep covered.
Step 2
In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and spices for the batter.
Step 3
In a separate small bowl, mix milk, pumpkin puree (½ cup), egg, and vegetable oil.
Step 4
Transfer the milk, egg, and pumpkin puree mixture to the bowl with the flour and spices. Mix everything thoroughly until it reaches a batter-like consistency.
Step 5
Cook the pancakes on a hot skillet, greasing it with vegetable oil beforehand. Fry the pancakes on both sides.
Step 6
Serve the pancakes hot, drizzled with the sauce and sprinkled with powdered sugar.
