Pumpkin-Orange Cake
Ingredients
- Butter 5 oz
- Sugar 5 oz
- Chestnut puree 1 cup
- Orange juice concentrate 5 fl oz
- Milk ¼ cup
- Orange zest 1 tablespoon
- Wheat Flour 2 cups
- Baking Powder 3 teaspoons
- Cinnamon 1 teaspoon
- Sour Cream 5 oz
- Activated Baking Soda ½ teaspoon
- Powdered Sugar 3 tablespoons
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
In a large bowl, beat the butter with the sugar until smooth, then add the eggs one at a time, continuing to beat.
Step 2
In a separate bowl, mix the pumpkin puree, orange juice, milk, and orange zest.
Step 3
In a third bowl, combine the dry ingredients: flour, spices, baking powder, baking soda, and salt, then add the dry mixture to the butter and egg mixture, alternating with the pumpkin mixture, and mix everything together.
Step 4
Pour into a greased baking pan and bake at 355°F for about 30 minutes. Let cool on a rack.
Step 5
For the cream, beat the sour cream with the powdered sugar. Decorate with oranges.
