Puffs with White Wine

Ingredients

  • Wheat Flour 10 oz
  • Dry White Wine 3 tablespoons
  • Safflower Oil 3 tablespoons
  • Milk 10 fl oz
  • Baking Powder 1 teaspoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Vegetable Oil 10 fl oz

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Sift the flour with salt into a bowl, make a well in the center of the flour mound, pour in the wine and sunflower oil. Mix with a wooden spatula, then add the milk, mix well, and let it rest for half an hour.

Step 2

Stir the baking powder into the dough and heat the vegetable oil in a deep skillet to 355°F. Scoop a full tablespoon of dough, place the filling of your choice in it, and send it all to the skillet.

Step 3

Do everything quickly but carefully. Fry the puffs for 3–5 minutes until they are golden brown. Then drain the excess oil on paper towels and serve hot.
