  • Wheat Flour 2 cups
  • Butter 10 oz
  • Chicken Egg 1 piece
  • Water ¾ cup
  • Salt ¼ teaspoon
  • Citric Acid to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Prepare the puff pastry.

Step 2

Roll out the prepared dough into a thin layer the size of the baking sheet. Transfer the dough to the sheet, prick it with a fork in several places, and place it in the oven for 12–15 minutes to bake. Bake several layers this way. Once baked, transfer the puff pastry to a table, trim the edges, cutting off any irregularities, and finely chop the trimmings and set aside.

Step 3

Spread a layer of cream—either custard or buttercream—on the baked puff pastry layer, smooth it out, cover it with another layer of puff pastry, and add another layer of cream on top. Repeat this process to create 3–5 layers in total. Sprinkle the top layer with the chopped puff pastry trimmings. Then cut into narrow strips (about 6–7 cm) and from each strip cut out pastries. Dust with powdered sugar on top, place the pastries on a plate, and serve.
