Puff Pastry Pockets with Apples and Mint

Ingredients

  • Cinnamon a pinch
  • Butter 0 oz
  • Fresh Mint to taste
  • Sugar 8 tablespoons
  • Puff Pastry 20 oz
  • Apple 4 pieces

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Wash the apples, dry them, core them, and slice.

Step 2

Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into squares approximately 20x20 cm.

Step 3

In the center of each square, place a mound of sliced apples, sprinkle with a tablespoon of sugar and a pinch of cinnamon. On top of the mound, place a small piece of butter and a few fresh mint leaves.

Step 4

Pinch the squares to form pockets.

Step 5

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Arrange the pockets on it.

Step 6

Bake in a preheated oven for 30 minutes. For the first 10 minutes, bake at a temperature of 200–430°F, then reduce the temperature to 355°F.

Step 7

The pockets are ready when the pastry is golden brown.

Step 8

Transfer the finished pockets to a serving dish, let cool, and garnish with a sprig of mint. The cooled pockets can also be drizzled with liquid honey or syrup.
