Step 1
Prepare the puff pastry, rolling it out into a flat rectangular strip about 1/2 cm thick; use a cutter or glass to cut out circles along the entire strip, lightly moisten the circles with water, place a ball of filling in the center of each, and then cover the filling with another circle.
Step 2
Then pinch each ball with your hands or a smaller cutter to seal the dough together, and place the pies on a baking sheet lightly moistened with water; brush the tops with egg and bake in the oven for 10–15 minutes.
