  • Milk 5 fl oz
  • Wheat Flour 15 oz
  • Water 0 qt
  • Toasted Sesame to taste
  • Salt 1 teaspoon
  • Dry yeast 1 teaspoon
  • Activated Baking Soda 1 teaspoon

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Preheat the milk. Pour it into a mixing bowl, add the yeast, stir, and let it sit for 10–15 minutes. Add salt and flour, mix. Cover with plastic wrap and let it rest in a warm place for 20 minutes. Then transfer to a bowl and mix again. Place the dough on a surface and cut it into several pieces. Roll each piece into a rope and shape it into a pretzel.

Step 2

Mix the water with the baking soda and place it over medium heat. When the liquid starts to boil, drop each pretzel in for a few seconds and place them on a baking sheet. Sprinkle a small amount of salt and sesame seeds on top. Cover with a towel and let it rest for half an hour.

Step 3

Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F) and bake for 20 minutes.
