Ingredients
- Sugar 1.3 cups
- Wheat Flour 2 cups
- Poppy seed paste 2 tablespoons
- Baking Powder 1½ teaspoons
- Salt ½ teaspoon
- Activated Baking Soda 1½ teaspoons
- Egg white 1 piece
- 10% cream 7½ tablespoons
- Buttermilk 5 oz
- Vegetable Oil 3 tablespoons
- Vanilla extract 1 teaspoon
- Grated Lemon Zest 2 teaspoons
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 390°F. Grease 2 small muffin pans with oil and sprinkle with 2 tablespoons of sugar.
Step 2
In a bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, poppy seeds, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Step 3
In another bowl, beat the egg with the sour cream, buttermilk, oil, lemon zest, and vanilla. Add the dry ingredients and mix well.
Step 4
Spoon the batter into the pans and bake for about 15 minutes until golden brown. Remove from the pans and cool.
