Poached pears with coffee syrup and cream
Ingredients
- Pears 4 pieces
- Ground Coffee 0 oz
- Brown Sugar 5 oz
- Cinnamon 1 piece
- 33% Cream to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Brew one liter of coffee. While it is brewing, peel the pears.
Step 2
Pour the brewed coffee into a small pot or saucepan, dissolve the sugar in it, add the cinnamon stick, and bring to a boil.
Step 3
Add the pears — it is preferable that they are fully submerged. Bring to a boil and simmer on low heat for about 40 minutes.
Step 4
Remove from heat and cool, occasionally turning the pears.
Step 5
Remove the pears, strain the sauce, return it to the heat, and boil until it thickens.
Step 6
Drizzle the pears with syrup and set aside to cool.
Step 7
Serve drizzled with cream.
