Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 15 oz
- Milk 5 fl oz
- Sugar 5 oz
- Salt to taste
- Dry yeast 0 oz
- Butter 5 oz
- Chicken Egg 2 pieces
- Plums 1½ kg
- Egg white 3 pieces
- Ginger a pinch
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Sift the flour into a bowl, make a well in the center, and pour in the yeast dissolved in milk with 1 tablespoon of sugar and a small amount of flour. Let it sit for 15 minutes. Then add 80 grams of sugar, salt, eggs, and oil, knead the dough, and let it rise for 1 hour.
Step 2
Preheat the oven to 390°F. Wash the plums, cut each in half, and remove the pits.
Step 3
Roll out the dough on a greased baking sheet into a thin layer, sprinkle with 40 grams of sugar, and arrange the plums on top. Bake the pie in the oven for 20 minutes.
Step 4
Beat the egg whites with the remaining sugar and ginger. Place the mixture in a piping bag. Remove the pie from the oven, pipe the meringue on top, and return it to the oven for another 10-15 minutes.
