Pink Ice Cream
Ingredients
- Milk 15 fl oz
- Cream 5 fl oz
- Sugar 5 oz
- Egg white 4 pieces
- Rose water 0 fl oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
In a medium saucepan, bring the cream, milk, and sugar to a boil.
Step 2
Whisk the egg yolks and, while continuing to whisk, slowly pour in the hot cream mixture. This step is called tempering the yolks.
Step 3
Strain the mixture through a fine sieve and return it to the saucepan. Cook over medium heat until the mixture thickens enough to coat the back of a spoon.
Step 4
Cool the mixture in an ice bath, add the rose water, and pour it into your ice cream maker.
Step 5
Following your machine's instructions, churn the ice cream and then place it in the freezer. Serve garnished with fresh rose petals.
