Pickled Grapes
Preserves • European
Description
For this recipe, it's best to use dark grapes: they retain their color during preservation unlike light grapes, and their slight tartness combined with curry creates a harmonious and intriguing flavor.
Ingredients
- Lemon 1 piece
- Seedless Green Grapes 20 oz
- Curry 3 spoons
- Apple Wine 10 fl oz
- Sugar 3 spoons
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Remove the grapes from the stems, sort the berries, wash them, and place them in a 1.5-liter jar. Peel the lemon zest in thin strips and add them to the jar with the grapes.
Step 2
In a dry saucepan, lightly toast the curry (for about a minute) to release its aroma, then pour in the Sauvignon Blanc and add sugar, mixing everything well.
Step 3
Let the liquid simmer for a minute until the sugar dissolves, then remove from heat and pour it over the grapes in a jar. Allow it to sit for at least a day.
