Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 2 cups
- Salt a pinch
- Butter 10 oz
- Water 3 tablespoons
- Sugar 10 oz
- Farm fresh eggs 2 pieces
- Milk 2 tablespoons
- Brandy 4 tablespoons
- Pecan 1 cup
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Mix the flour (1.5 cups) with salt.
Step 2
Chop the butter into small pieces.
Step 3
Add the butter (120 g) to the flour and rub it into crumbs. Pour in 3 tablespoons of ice water. Mix until the dough begins to form a ball. The dough should be soft and elastic. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Step 4
In another bowl, mix the flour (2 tablespoons) with sugar.
Step 5
Add the eggs and milk. Mix well.
Step 6
Add the butter (120 g) and blend with a mixer.
Step 7
Pour in the brandy and mix.
Step 8
Set aside some pecans for decorating the pie, and chop the rest to add to the mixture.
Step 9
Remove the dough from the refrigerator and roll it out to fit the size of the pan plus 3 cm for the edges.
Step 10
Transfer the dough to the pan and carefully spread it across the bottom and up the sides. Trim the edge and create a decorative finish with a fork.
Step 11
Pour the filling into the pan.
Step 12
Place the reserved pecans on top of the pie.
Step 13
Bake in a preheated oven at 390°F for 40 minutes.
