Description
Pears with Mascarpone Cream
Ingredients
- Pears 1 piece
- Mascarpone Cheese Unagrande 10 oz
- Butter 1 tablespoon
- Maple syrup 4 tablespoons
- Powdered Sugar 1 teaspoon
- Cardamom ¼ teaspoon
- Meyer Lemon Juice 3 tablespoons
- Cocoa Powder to taste
- Chopped almonds to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Gently mix the room temperature mascarpone with powdered sugar and refrigerate.
Step 2
In a saucepan, melt the butter, add maple syrup, 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, and cardamom, gently stir with a wooden spatula, and simmer the syrup over low heat for 4–6 minutes.
Step 3
Wash the pear, cut it in half, remove the core (if desired, the fruit can be peeled), and sprinkle with 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. Place the halves in the syrup, cut side down, and caramelize the pears for 10–15 minutes until soft, carefully moving the halves. Let the finished pears cool.
Step 4
In a dish, place the mascarpone cream and pears. Put 1 teaspoon of cream in the center of each half. Drizzle the pears with the remaining syrup, sprinkle with cocoa and chopped nuts. Serve immediately.
