Ingredients
- Pears 8 pieces
- Sugar 2 tablespoons
- Cinnamon 1 piece
- Orange zest 1 piece
- Citrus Zest Mix 1 piece
- Honey 5 tablespoons
- Meyer Lemon Juice 1 teaspoon
- Vanilla Pod 1 piece
- Dried cranberries with sugar 10 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Peel the pears and remove the cores, carefully taking them out from the bottom, leaving the stems. Transfer the pears to a saucepan. Pour in about 4 cups of water to completely cover the pears, add sugar, the cinnamon stick, 2 pieces of zest, honey, and lemon juice. Scrape the seeds from the vanilla pod with a knife and add them to the saucepan along with the pod. Bring to a boil and let the sugar dissolve. Reduce the heat and simmer until tender for about 10 minutes.
Step 2
Add the cranberries and cook for another 3 minutes.
Step 3
Transfer the pears to a serving dish and drizzle with the syrup. Cool for 15 minutes and serve.
