Pear Tart with Caramel
Baking and Desserts • Circassian
Description
The result will be a wonderful dessert, a light sponge cake soaked in caramel, and tender, still juicy pears.
Ingredients
- Pears 4 pieces
- Water 0 fl oz
- Butter 10 oz
- Sugar 10 oz
- Chicken Egg 4 pieces
- Wheat Flour 5 oz
- Salt a pinch
- Baking Powder 2 spoons
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Peel the pears, cut them lengthwise into quarters, and remove the cores.
Step 2
In a skillet over medium heat, add 100 g of sugar, 50 ml of water, and 50 g of butter. Once the sugar has dissolved, add the pears and stir gently while shaking the skillet. The fruit will release juice, turning the caramel into an incredible pear caramel sauce. The key is to wait until the caramel reaches a light golden color, then immediately remove it from the heat. Set the skillet aside to cool.
Step 3
First, soften 300 g of butter by beating it in a large bowl. Once it has melted enough to become lighter and fluffier, add sugar and beat well.
Step 4
Then, gradually add the eggs one at a time, mixing them until well combined with the batter.
Step 5
Add a pinch of salt, baking powder, and flour. Mix the flour into the dough with a spatula until the mixture is smooth.
Step 6
Spread the dough in a baking dish. Arrange the pears on top in any decorative style you prefer, drizzle with pear caramel, and sprinkle with crushed walnuts if you desire.
Step 7
Bake the pie in a preheated oven at 355°F for 40 minutes.
