Description

You can check the readiness of the sponge cake with a match or toothpick. To do this, poke the dough with the stick. If it is ready, the stick will come out dry. I spread jam on top of the roll and sprinkled it with grated cookies. It can also be decorated with melted chocolate.

Ingredients

  • Wheat Flour 5 oz
  • Sugar 5 oz
  • Egg white 1 piece
  • Activated Baking Soda 1 teaspoon
  • Pear Jam 5 oz

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Beat the eggs with sugar until the mass increases threefold.

Step 2

Add the flour and mix.

Step 3

Add the baking soda. The batter will be thin.

Step 4

Pour the batter into a 20x30 cm baking tray, previously greased with vegetable oil and lined with parchment paper. Place it in a preheated oven at 390°F for 15–20 minutes, until the sponge cake is golden and remains soft.

Step 5

Place the finished sponge cake paper side up on a work surface. Carefully remove the paper. Spread jam (thick) on the sponge cake. Roll it up and leave it to cool completely.

Step 6

Decorate to your liking.
