Pear and Cheese Tart
Baking and Desserts • French
Description
It is best to grate the pear on a very fine grater; if you don't have one, it's better to use a smaller amount than indicated in the recipe. The amount of honey can also be adjusted to taste. To achieve a nice color on the edges of the pastry, you should brush them with something. Instead of an egg, for example, you can brush with water mixed with sugar.
Ingredients
- Puff Pastry 5 oz
- Pears 1 piece
- Honey to taste
- Stilton Cheese to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Thaw the pastry. Take one sheet, lay it on a baking tray, and make cuts around the perimeter (not all the way through) with a knife.
Step 2
Pour or spoon honey onto the pastry.
Step 3
Layer the finely grated pear on top of the honey and randomly place the cheese.
Step 4
Preheat the oven to 355°F, place the pastry inside, and start checking after about 20 minutes. When it turns a nice color, remove it from the oven. Wait a bit and serve.
