Pavlova cake with whipped cream and fruits
Ingredients
- Egg white 6 pieces
- Apple Cider Vinegar 1 tablespoon
- Powdered Sugar 10 oz
- Vanillin a pinch
- 10% cream 5 fl oz
- Corn Starch 1 tablespoon
- Grapefruits to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 300°F.
Step 2
Whip the egg whites until stiff peaks form, then gradually add the powdered sugar (preferably sifted), one spoonful at a time, continuing to whip until you achieve a very thick mixture. At the end of whipping, add the cornstarch.
Step 3
Add vinegar to the mixture and gently fold it in using a silicone spatula.
Step 4
On a baking parchment, draw a circle with a diameter of 25 cm, place the whipped egg whites in the center, and use a spatula to shape the meringue, lifting the edges upwards.
Step 5
Bake for 30 minutes at 300°F, then for another 30 minutes at 250°F. Next, reduce the temperature to 210°F and bake for an additional 1.5 hours. Leave to cool in the oven.
Step 6
Chill the cream thoroughly, then whip it.
Step 7
Spread the cream and sliced fruits over the cooled base and serve.
