Pavlova Cake with Strawberries
Ingredients
- Vinegar essence 2 tablespoons
- Vanilla extract 2 tablespoons
- Corn Starch 2 tablespoons
- Egg white 4 pieces
- Raw cane sugar 5 oz
- Sugar 5 oz
- Chopped almonds 0 oz
- Strawberry 20 oz
- Blackcurrant liqueur 3 tablespoons
- Heavy cream 20 fl oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 285°F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 2
Whip the vinegar, vanilla, and cornstarch together. Whip the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Gradually add the sugar while continuing to whip until a thick meringue forms.
Step 3
Spread the meringue onto the parchment in a 20 cm circle, creating small peaks with a knife. Sprinkle with nuts and bake for 1 hour, then turn off the oven and let cool.
Step 4
Pass 100 grams of strawberries through a sieve into a bowl. Add the liqueur. Whip the cream. Slice half of the strawberries and mix with the cream. Then add 3 tablespoons of strawberry sauce.
Step 5
Place the finished meringue on a flat plate. Top with the cream, sprinkle with strawberries, and drizzle with the remaining sauce.
