Description
Pastries with Blackberry, Cinnamon, and Almond
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 10 oz
- Butter 5 oz
- Water 6 tablespoons
- Salt to taste
- Whole egg 2 pieces
- Sugar 5 tablespoons
- Milk 2 tablespoons
- Chopped almonds 2 tablespoons
- Cinnamon ½ teaspoon
- Blackberry 20 oz
- Fruit Jelly 3 tablespoons
- Ground Almonds 3 tablespoons
- Cream 5 fl oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Cut the butter into pieces and chop it with the flour until it forms a fine crumb. Make a well, add water and salt, and quickly knead the dough. Then roll the dough into a ball, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours.
Step 2
Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F).
Step 3
Beat the yolk with 3 tablespoons of sugar. Add milk, ground almonds, cinnamon, and mix thoroughly.
Step 4
Roll out the dough into a thin layer (about 3 mm). Grease the tartlet molds with butter and place the dough in them. Brush the edges with lightly beaten yolk and fill with the almond mixture. Bake the pastries for 25 minutes. After 10 minutes of baking, cover the tartlets with foil to prevent the filling from drying out.
Step 5
Remove the pastries from the oven, let them cool, and fill with blackberries.
Step 6
Gently heat the currant jelly in a saucepan and drizzle it over the blackberries.
Step 7
Sprinkle the pastries with chopped and toasted almonds.
